Everything you’ve read about Rainey the waitress is correct! We were fortunate enough to have her wait on us this morning and she is awesome! The breakfast was phenomenal as well. I had an omelette and I was definitely not shorted on sausage and bacon. The wheat bread is made in house and thick - like thicker than Texas toast. We also got two gigantic cinnamon rolls to go. We went on a Sunday morning around 8:00, no wait. When we left, the place was full.

Never had a prime rib fried steak, but man was it tasty!! I will 100% be returning because there is soo much to try. If you're passing through Fairbanks or just visiting, this is a must try before you leave.

I wish I remembered to take photos! Im sorry!
I used The Cookie Jar this week to cater a work event for approximately 75 people, and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. We actually ended up with closer to 90 attendees, and there was still enough food for everyone.
We ordered chicken parmesan, lasagna, pot roast, and 75 assorted cookies. The pot roast was definitely the crowd favorite and it was tender, flavorful, and served with potatoes and carrots. With the entrees they also included green beans, salad, rolls, garlic bread, croutons, and salad dressing, which made everything feel so complete and filling.
Bob was outstanding to work with. He communicated clearly throughout the entire process, was transparent about costs and expectations, and made planning the event stress-free. When I forgot to follow-up with him when placing the order, he reached out to me directly to help ensure we could get it all done in time (so grateful for this because I got swamped!) He also provided a very generous military discount, which was greatly appreciated. Fairbanks has always been military friendly to us but this experience was one of the better experiences we have had with a restaurant.
Throughout the evening, I received countless compliments on the food, and many people asked where it had come from. My organization hosts events like this every couple of months, and this was our first time using The Cookie Jar. It was also the most positive feedback I’ve received from attendees about any catered meal we’ve provided. In fact, I’ve already been asked to use The Cookie Jar again for future events.
Thank you to Bob and the entire team for your professionalism, excellent service, and delicious food. And of course, the cookies were amazing too!

This charming gem is not only really cute it has delicious breakfast and lunch items. We had an omelette and Nolan’s special stuffed cinnamon roll ! And the mushroom, sausage and mozerella quiche with fruit was great! I also had a delicious vanilla latte! Both were Devine! Our waitress was the best! We would eat here every day if we lived here!!

Delicious! This place was recommended by a friend in SoCal before my visitors left town. It did not disappoint. I had the quiche and soup of the day. The mushroom soup was so thick and creamy, like whipped cream. The artichoke and chicken quiche was a huge portion and not overly seasoned. A Sr. discount was provided without even asking. I will recommend to others.

We visited fairbanks from Dallas, TX and were in need of a wholesome breakfast. The Cookie Jar was the perfect spot. Great service, real wholesome food, and the vibe was giving grandma's house. You have to grab a cookie or 7.

Went here with a coworker. Hadn't been in years. I ordered the country fried steak and he got the biscuits and gravy. Both meals were excellent. The hash browns were nice and crispy. The country fried steak was very well seasoned and had plenty of gravy. The side portion of bacon was more than we could finish. The service was friendly and fast. Overall an excellent breakfast experience

We're here from Missouri and if we come back this will be a must eat! Breakfast was amazing. Big portions. Everything was soooo good! The sausage links were available FIRE! My omelette looked like it had a pound of ingredients and was cooked to perfection.
The best part was the service. Our waitress was all smiles and wiring her butt off for everyone. Best service we've had in Alaska!

1st impressions are lasting impressions.
The Excellent food is what has kept me coming back 10 times.
Excellent service is another expectation.
The portions are more than what I paid for on any meal i picked.
The cookies and other pastry's are like "Dude I can't eat the whole thing."
The steaks are toe to toe in flavor and portion size with the Steak Houses anywhere I've had at other steak houses.
They have plenty of Souvenires to choose from and for excellent for friends n family.
The food is cooked by a very professional chef (cook) and he knows his profession.
I go to many steak house throughtout the world and this is by far one exceptional Cookie Jar Resturant in Fairbanks,AK.
What can i say about atmospher, i would compare it to riding a subway or in an elevator "Everyone sticks to their own world and group" unusual ? No but as a 1st time visitor to this Harsh cold environment it warms the heart. N memory....

This was our second visit, and both experiences were great. The first time we came with a large party of 16, and the food still came out quickly. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and did a wonderful job taking care of such a big group. Before we left, we bought some chocolates, and every one we tried was delicious. We were also given free cookies, which was such a nice touch.
The Reuben was so good that we had to come back again, this time with just a group of four. Once again, the food came out within just a few minutes of ordering, and we were given free cookies again. The restaurant is decorated with lots of Christmas décor, which makes it feel very festive and cozy.
